This is a 13 minute exposure with an
ST-9E CCD camera thru Kopernik's 20-inch F/8.1 Ritchey Chretien Cassegrain
telescope taken on Nov. 7th, 2001 at 1:30 UT. The field of view is 8x8
arc minutes with North at the top.
UGC 11683 and MCG 3-54-2 form a loose pair of galaxies in Delphinus. They are roughly 264 million light years away. There is also another dim anonymous galaxy near the pair, but it is probably a background object.
